NATO is good for nothing the warriors of europe died during cold war, today's europeans just want business, as you said once russia arrived syria went away from nato and US. The nato (excluding US and UK) will only go in combat mode if their survival is on stake. Thats why they will not go against china under any circumstances because SCS is just to far away from EU and any force devoted beyond Mediterranean will be on suicidal mission and keep in mind EU has no problem with china, its just US supremacy.

Report is Monkeys were on ELINT/SIGINT mission (P8i) and AEW were near by coastal belt escorted with Su-30MKI from Jamnagar. they have close enough to get us to alert hops.

that is a regular for them. but having fighter patrols as you said explains that-----sukhoi was trying to Identify a bigger brother because usually P8I have no need for fighter escort because they are flying in Indian air space and if there was any fighter escort either from IAF or IN they would be Mig-29's.

Possibly but lets hope we have the J -15 and J-10 because I know we need them.

Some countries got an interesting mix of advanced Russian and Western based fighters. Like Egypt with their collection of Vipers, Mirage 2000s, Rafales, MiG-29s and just today they had their first flight for their first batch of Su-35s......

Whatever truth in that but our boys are certainly in US.
