Arcade game with tons of grinding to encourage in game transaction.

It's a fun game, but if you want to fly jets as soon as you start you either have to grind a lot or pay.

If you want realism/simulation, DCS is the only one for combat aircraft. Although you have to pay for good modules, it is well worth the price as you can get huge discounts during sales.

The game has different game modes. Arcade battles are pretty self explanatory. Realistic battles, are still unrealistic but provide a much more realistic gameplay of how said vehicle will perform (armour values and fire power values are more or less realistic for nearly all vehicles except modern ones due to the those being classified), and simulator battles is the most realism you will get. Its not like DCS where you have to use the MFD and what not, but the flight models and damage models are all realistic.

As for the pack, the T129 is a premium pack that will release with this update for the Italian helicopter tech tree. If you have the money you can just buy the top tier vehicles for tanks, jets and helis. However I would advise you don't do that as top tier battles at Realistic battles require more skill and knowledge of the games mechanics compared to low tier. Grind out low tier until you are familiar with how the game works and then proceed to top tier premiums.

Also the T129 has CIRIT and L utmas ATGMS/laser guided rockets

Nah.. people should get DCS, get that one full sim for whatever aircraft you fancy and spend the rest of your life learning and having fun with.

but to each, their own.. arcadey ones offer their own type of fun, srs "study sims" ones have their own distinct charm.
