BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:45 P.M.) – A new video that was released this week showed the moment a Russian air defense system shot down a Turkish drone over Libya.

In the video, the Libyan National Army (LNA) can be seen operating their Russian-made Pantsir-S1E system and later downing the Turkish drone over their positions.

The drone was likely shot down over the city of Sirte, which the Turkish-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) forces have been trying to capture for much of the week.

Isn't it the same missile Iranians used to shoot down a passenger jet while trying to show off their military might against USA?

Iran don't have Pantsir. AFAIK it was a Buk type.

Looks like Turkeys tricks doesnt work anymore. Sad :(

More than 90% of drones are shot down by fighter jets. AD shot down less than 10% of drones.

Measure, counter-meausre, counter-counter-measure etc. This is a never ending cycle in the battlefields. One day Turkey could Take out ADs with drone attack, now they face with New counter-meausre.

Yeah, sure it is ..just like Syrians bringing down 100 UCAVs in Idlip...what we see is Hafter forces being decimated and on full retreat.

Just a hint: You won't be able to win any war against Turkey. :smokin:
