LAHORE- Federal Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Tuesday approved a new policy aimed at thwarting attacks on passenger trains.
Talking to media persons, Saad Rafique said that jammers would be installed in trains plying between Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.
He said that aerial monitoring of railway tracks would be done in some sensitive areas.
“We will halt terror attacks with the help of police and intelligence agencies.” he said.
The federal railway minister said patrolling guards would be hired to protect railway tracks.
