According to Jawad Falak, a defense analyst based in Karachi, Lt Gen Munir’s appointment is set to pace up the anti-terrorism operations within the urban areas of Pakistan. He added that an operation against the corrupt mafia in Pakistan especially Sindh, Punjab, and Baluchistan will also speedup which might result is exacerbated pressure on some political parties.

Zeeshan Munir, a security analyst based in Islamabad, while talking to GVS stated that Pakistan is facing severe threats from spy agencies of ‘enemy states’ that are bent upon destabilizing Pakistan internally.

Such threats require a proactive approach by Pakistan’s premier spy agency and Lt Gen Munir is appointed as DG ISI to ensure that.

This is just awesome. The whole machinery should now be in sync. From judiciary to the armed forces and the government. Who could have ever thought of that? We need to get confrontational. Let's fvck the paid stooges up. From media to political stooges. Fvck 'em up until they gasp for oxygen.

Damned good. Which regiment/corps does he belong to, by the way?
I know that Lieut Gen Naveed Mukhtar was from 13th Lancers.

I feel as if a new era has began. Can't wait to see what Pakistan is capable of under the new leadership, where all state institutes are aligned and working for the betterment of the country. Best of luck Pakistan, and Pakistan Zindabad!

none of those things matters in his job .. what matter is his qualifications and ability to process and counter the present and future threats to Pakistan .

They do matter. They might not impact his ability to do his job, but the reflect on the character of the man.

No It doesn't , I know Hafiz Quran who do all sort of disgusting stuff, and been a Syed means nothing ( to me ) at least , as i follow the Prophet's words very literally " No one is superior to another " .

Seriously, how does being a 'hafiz quran' reflect on person's character? Having learn't the sounds of something by heart without even understanding what the sounds relay amounts to parroting. Exactly how that makes character is something you can enlighten please?

Without army chief permission he can do nothing as clear from gen ziaudin but case that isi chief stands nothing infront of coas

I'll wait to see his strategy in action before judging. Last head was a dud.
