Absolutely, their partnership blossomed in 2010 / 2011. The intital breakthrough happened when Sajjan Jindal pushed to obtain “right of way” to transport iron ore by road from Hajigak iron ore deposits in Bamian area of Afghanistan, to Karachi and then shipping (Karachi port) the ore to both southern and northern India.

That was instrumental to enable JSW and SAIL - and I think AFISCO was also part of the deal to build 1 million tonne a year steel mill and develop 1.5-2.0 billion tonnes iron ore reserves at Hajigak.

Part of the above deal was procuring machinery from companies across the border in return for “smoothening” the process of obtaining right of way by Nawaz.

actually i think you are right, the people are so used to their chains that as long as they get some leftover bones from the plate of these crooks they will be happy. Only if they knew what they could achieve if they voted for good and genuine people.

It is called "conflict of interest" The sharif's used their influence to get steel material from their own companies instead of putting out a tender. The playing field is not level for everyone, and that is also one of the reasons that these crooks are only interested in projects where they can make money for themselves and thats why nothing has been done to improve the education and health sectors as it doesn't require steel.

Multan Metro project is a perfect example, the buses are running 90% empty and the country is losing money everyday, they were aware that this is going to happen yet they still went ahead with it and now you know why.
