May be a combination of those
That was just one of my idea in which base rotors within shrouds + a seat ejection system. That will be my preference

I honestly don't understand why he didn't design it exactly like the quadcopters that have the cameras hanging off the bottom. He'd be all set. Just make sure the blades are high enough to get approval and he'd make a mint.

How far do the blades need to be. This can't be much more than 10 feet.

True, autogyros have been around since the 1920's. The rotor does not seem that high up. Not sure why they didn't really become popular with the average person. They are $20,000 and up. I guess you still need a bit of a runway so that's inconvenient for consumer use.
