New Charge Sheet Links Tablighi Jamaat & Deoband to Delhi Riots

Have you protested when Congress closed doors of parliament, shut the cameras and passed AP reorganisation bill back in 2013 when constituent AP assembly rejected the bill? No one gave a shit then, no national media covered. Well, injustices wreaked upon others in the past too. If we have to call this depraved, well, it'd always been for some and it'd never been for some, 'some' is not permanent.

Enlighten me on this. What constituent assembly are you talking about? There is no such animal in the constitution. If you believe that there was an unconstitutional act committed, do explain what, and how?

It appears that the rest of your grievance stems in part from this, or that your stance is derived in part from this. So what went wrong, according to you?

.
No you won't. Because the narrative that will be spun is that only "illegals" are being detained and denied citizenship.

How many? And from where have they come? and where will they go? They've to answer these questions.

That will be a segment. However, for the vast majority, they will be ineligible for any official documents if their name is not on the NRC. So people will no longer have drivers licenses, aadhar card and so on. Inability to procure such official documents will exclude them from any social or economic activity and will render them stateless.

Read what Sri Lanka did to the Tamils in the 1950s and Burma to the Rohingya. The playbook is there....just needs to be implemented.

Dude, when an act is passed for the refugees, and citizen muslims of Delhi want it to be removed, it is already political.

Why are you deliberately or otherwise obscuring the fact that this was NOT the Muslims of Delhi objecting to the act? This is amusing; you obviously know better, and this can only be a deliberate subterfuge to push a point. That is fine, but does it change facts on the ground?

I'm sure there are more injustices than the ones you cite above. I am not sure how that is relevant this discussion.
I am also not sure how does a past crime justify a current one?

You are free to start another thread on the topic of AP reorganization, and I will be more than sympathetic to your cause.

This is a non-sequitur.

Because that very act is Part 1 of a two step process to disenfranchise Muslims and render them stateless by using the NRC.

This explanation is not needed except for the utterly ignorant; since you, @Vasudhaika, are clearly not one of those, the question arises why you choose to take this stance.

Another brainwashed Indian poster, sadly. The most jahill quom in this planet happen to live in India.

If I compare these spineless bunch with the White American protesters who are RIGHT NOW facing violence in Trump's America as they stand shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with a dead Black man, I feel ashamed to call any of them my fellow human beings, let alone that we share a nationality.

I have made up my mind finally. I am not arguing with any Sanghi posters on here anymore. They are incorrigible, and their views cannot be changed. They only understand the "might is right" principle: and I promise they will get a lot of that in the coming few months.

Disgusting Indians.

Here is where you sound Pakistani, as in Pakistani fanboy with a hair trigger. Indians are not disgusting. A section of Indians are, and they are disgusting because of the views that they hold, and because of the actions that these views enable.

When a state is being reorganised, the state's elected assembly can pass a resolution to reject or accept. Sure, it will not have any legal binding as Parliament's resolution supersedes any state assembly's (except J&K, that's why mota sha dissolved the govt.). Yes, there was NO unconstitutional act committed, just that no one cared to understand the whole problem. It was delayed, delayed, delayed and one fine morning a binary 'yes' came, completely political decision (to save face in 2014). Just to throw an example , 'the assets are distributed based on population and power is distributed based on consumption'. I don't want to divert this thread, by furthering it but Coastal and Seema people felt they were deceived by then ruling party when the cash cow and 70% bread earner Hyderabad is no more because one lady was ill informed by her political advisers.

"Both sides?"

An argument Hindutvadis of India have derived from their baap, Donald Trump of USA, another tyrant in that country. For the first time since Civil Rights era, we are seeing such massive protests against US government on their own turf.

Trump had originally proposed "both sides" argument to protect the NRA and gun rights lobby in the USA after a fatal school shootout. That is because the gunslingers are the number one voting base of his party.

And now in India we hear this "both sides" argument used so frequently. It's like Donald Trump is more than just a favorite US President for India's Sanghis: he is also their mentor, philosopher, and guide. :what:

When scumbags meet scumbags: White supremacists and Hindutvadis of India, a marriage made in Hell.

Both sides.

Now cry.

Nope, it doesn't justify the current injustice. But this is a complex society with many complicated layers. My point being, injustices are not new and hence they wont vanish all of a sudden and most importantly they're not exclusively directed at muslims.

A fair point, but we are examining the injustices created by a government of all the citizens. Those injustices do finally turn out to be exclusively directed at Muslims. So the general point that injustices are not new, won't vanish, and are not all exclusively directed at Muslims is correct as it is, but is not applicable to this special case.

No thanks, we came to terms with it.

And what has it got to do with CAA?

LOL.

Everything. The CAA was the enabling act to divide Muslims and Christians from the 'Indic' faiths. It allowed for quick acceptance for the desirable set, without saying a word about the others, the Muslims and the Christians.

This becomes useful at the next step; when credentials are examined, if we go by the Assam example, around 20% of the tested population are found to have nothing to support their claim to citizenship.

What CAA does is allow the government to absorb the 'desirable' segment of those found without supporting documentation, while leaving the others out in the cold.

I won't blame you for oversimplifying things, you're not a party in the problem.

NPR was supposed to commence in April and government have admitted thousand of times "NPR is the first step of NRC".

I am not sure if you saw the interview of PC during the height of CAA movement. He was asked whether if NPR or NRC is necessary.
He told it is absolute necessity as India have to identify who are her citizens and who are not. Infact he told that India hasn't taken such a exercise since independence while other countries do it regularly.
He added that it's not the right time to do it. When asked the right time he told they will do it when the time is right and when they are in power.
BJP or Congress NRC or NPR is coming. While Congress may actually regularise illegals irrespective of religion, BJP won't do that.

In other words, the wishes of Telangana citizens should have gone by the board, and the depredations of the Coastal and Seema Telugus should have been allowed to continue with their depredations. The effects of those depredations, both under Naidu and under Reddy, are visible even today, in the landholding pattern in the premium areas of Hyderabad.

At the end of it all, it boils down to nothing having been done that was unconstitutional, so what is it? The grievance of the Coastal and Seema Telugus that they were not allowed to continue to be carpetbaggers?

All this blah blah won't hide the fact that Muslim's citizenship is at stake.

You want NRC? Do it but without CAA, weed out all illegals. India is meant for Indians na?
