RAWALPINDI: The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Pakistan Marcel De Vink met with President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Dr Shimail Daud Arain during his visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber on Thursday.
The Ambassador De Vink said “The Netherlands is keen to invest in the country and also to cooperate to enhance the bilateral trade ties with Pakistan. Having 180 million population there is great potential for investment and a vast space for business activities in Pakistan.”
The Netherlands eagerly wants to boost trade ties with Pakistan on a priority basis. He said that both countries are enjoying good political and diplomatic relations and in future trade relations would also be further enhanced. He stressed the need of the direct interaction between the business communities of both the countries and ensured his full cooperation in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion President RCCI Dr. Shimail Daud said that Rawalpindi Chamber believes in promoting trade activities among all the countries across the globe. He said that trade volume between the said two countries is around $800 million, which can be enhanced to great levels. President RCCI was of the view that continuous interaction between the business communities of both sides with each other would help a lot in this regard.
