Trusting the Indians was not a wise move as they showed their aggression in 1971....as what I have learned from my experience is that you have to keep the Indians (excluding Punjabi Indians, them I really respect) under control every time before they start to control you...

Pakistan made the biggest mistake by not attacking indian army in 1962 .Kashmir would have been taken decades ago saving both countries billion of dollars and relations would have been completely normal by now.

Ayub khan trusted US words on Kashmir and was left feeling stupid when JFK was killed and nobody honored his words regarding Kashmir.
