Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday thanked his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi for inviting him for the swearing-in ceremony.
"I must say that I have returned much satisfied with our meaningful exchange of thoughts on matters of bilateral and regional interest" Sharif said in a letter to the PM.

Adding further the Pakistani premier said millions of people living in poverty on both sides of the border deserve the foremost attention.

"I firmly believe that in our concerted effort lies the welfare and prosperity of our two nations. The future is integrated with our common economic destiny," he said.

Nawaz Sharif met Modi on May 27 for the bilateral talks, a day after the former took oath as PM.

The two leaders discussed about issues including cross-border terrorism and agreed that terrorism was an issue of mutual concern and that they needed to address all conflicts to end the distrust between the two sides.

Sharif to Modi: Much satisfied with New Delhi visit : India, News - India Today

Relax, Modi nor any other leader gets flattered by such remarks.

This is just protocol . India Today is a weekly, this article may have been slated for printing some time ago, in any case just because there has been an attack in Pak does not mean he cannot speak on any other subject.

Going by the number of attacks that take place in Pak, the PM would have to stay quiet all his tenure.

On Lodhi he will celebrate his relationship with Modi, what a wonderful jodhi

So writing love letters to Modi is more important than visiting Karachi or allowing military to start operations against terrorists NWA??

Unless every pakistani becomes anti taliban it's not gonna happen, first eliminate taliban sympathizers. These snakes have infiltrated your politics, security and media.

Sharif wants peace in the region, he is not a warmongering fella

So till every Pakistani doesn't become anti Taliban Nawaz would be busy establishing relationships with India and modi for that matter.

Thats his call.

Last when I checked the PA was looking for the opinion of the people to carry out ops in NWA.

Has he written a letter ? If so his staff must have done so- he'd have signed. Just because there has been an attack life cannot come to a standstill.
