A day after Supreme Court disqualified him from holding public office, Nawaz Sharif has said his conscience was clear and felt proud that he was not removed over ‘corruption’.

Addressing the PML-N’s parliamentary meeting on Saturday, the former prime minister said he did not receive any kickbacks or commissions and never compromised on principles.

“I have been disqualified for not withdrawing salary from my own son’s company,” he said. “How is this justified…why did I need to inform the election commission about this when I didn’t withdraw any money”?

Let's hope this is just the beginning of things to come. We don't want corrupt leeches destroying the lives of ordinary Pakistanis. We don't want appeasers who bow before others and are willing to put the future of Pakistan on the line.

Nawaz Sharif is the tip of the iceberg and we need accountability across the bord. When I say across the bord I mean absolutely everyone. Not just political big fish, but corrupt leeches for every walk of life.

I dont know why courts are easy with nawaz. Looking at above all, minimum sentence would be life imprisoment or exile for life or better death penalty

NS knows his followers are stupid enough to believe what he is saying without checking the actual reasons for his disqualification. He's simply picked the 'not taking salary' reason because it would appear to be a trivial matter.

Any person with a bit of intelligence would read and understand the full SC statement and find the other reasons such as forged documents, hiding of assets,etc. Unfortunately a large proportion of Noonies are below average intelligence.
