By PPI Published: August 27, 2013
ISLAMABAD:
According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 54% Pakistanis are happy about Nawaz Sharifs decision to retain control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked Some people think that Nawaz Sharifs decision to retain control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence was the right decision whereas others think otherwise. What do you say? Responding to this, 54% said right decision and 33% said wrong decision. 13% chose not to respond.
Unsurprisingly, the data reveals that support for the Prime Ministers decision is higher among PML-Q (74%) and PML-N (66%) voters as compared to PPP (34%) and MQM (23%) supporters.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2661 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, between June 10, 2013 and June 17, 2013.
