Naiza Depleted Uranium Round?

I know that India is acquiring the T-90 (Indian designation T-90S) to counter the threat from our T-80UD, T-85 and T-84. I saw many Indians bragging about the T-90Ss Armour and how it is superior to the Al-Khalid, but the Al-Khalid has been said to fire the 125mm Naiza DU round. Against a 125mm DU round a tank has no protection whatsoever (Remember that in 1991-1992 the T-72's got roasted from the 30 mm DU of the A-10, only 4-5 30mm DU rounds were required at average to takeout a single T-72).
So my question is that are these DU rounds like available in limited number or all of the rounds DU? I know that there are AP,HEAT,HE and Shape Charges in the Arsenal of an Al-Khalid but are the DUs also a standard issue? And has any training done with these rounds?
Bytheway the T-90 doesn't fire the DU round.

According to one well-known poster, the Pakistani DU round is ok but not great. It has a "short rod penetrator" because only shorter rounds can fit in the autoloader mechanisms of the PA's tanks. What it needs is a long rod penetrator, which might become possible because according to a Pakistani journalist, the AK-I (upgraded Al-Khalid) might get a new autoloader able to fire long rod ammunition.

I remember reading somewhere that some years ago the Americans tested a piece of modern Russian "Heavy ERA" armour by firing their standard long rod DU round at it. I might be wrong here but I recall the source stated that the round did not penetrate. This is not really all that big a deal because a round can easily kill the tank by damaging its engine, gun systems, tracks, etc. But PA's tanks should really be able to fire long rod rounds. They also need new ammunition storage compartments that have blow-out panels, but that is a difficult problem to solve when they have auto-loaders.

We just have to wait and see what HIT can come up with for the AK-I. AK-II should be a whole new next-gen tank so I would expect the above problems to be solved by the time they start developing/producing it, around 2019 according to one source I read.

Can any of the more knowledgeable fellows here shed more light on the topic?

Thanks for the quick answer and clearing stuff out. I guess penetration is not the only way to "Kill" a tank, an RPG can also be as effective as a TOW if fired at the right spot. I guess we have to wait for the next IDEAS to see what HIT has in store for us.

whats the update on DU rounds?

Pakistan sells DU round to Nato and recently beat UK for an Omani order. So they are 2nd to none. It's often that its Pakistani so it must be substandard.
Now we all know jf17 can kick mig 21 and su30mki and we are confident in our aircraft. Same applies to DU round
