LAHORE: National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday decided to file a contempt of court petition against tribunal judge Justice Kazim Malik in the Lahore High Court, challenging his decision pertaining to verification of votes cast in NA-122 constituency.

The speaker has consulted his counsel Asjad Saeed on the matter who told DawnNews that the tribunal’s decision was unilateral.

He said the tribunal judge had heard PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his six witnesses but had not heard out the speaker and his witnesses.

He moreover said the tribunal’s decision was in violation of the Supreme Court’s order which said that the tribunal should should first determine the maintability of the petition filed by Khan and then take the case forward.

He said the tribunal had issued its decision without determining the maintainability of the petition.

@WishLivePak that is what i was talking about. u were suggesting PTI to go home and dont protest for vote audit. u can see history of ur conversation. The minute Imran khan leave nothng will happen. there will be no pressure on anyone . Now due to public pressure its hard for government to stop it .

. .
Wait for noonis...they will justify this as usual...
na they have started new tactic. which ever threat is against them. they take it down the list. they will start comment on anti imran post, It will come on top of the list on the thread. @WishLivePak is doing it right now, just notice this couple of times u will get the idea

.
Idiot. Really needs to let this happen to remove ammunition from imran's hand. Now ayaz sadiq position will look questionable and imran will keep mentioning it. The idea is to end this and end this quickly so let the recount happen so that the govt can say atleast we have done some part of it. Foolish move from N.

@WishLivePak should get an award for the amount of falsehood he spreads on these boards.

PML-N needs to send a message to judges that they will face retaliation if they give judgments against PML-N interests.
This is in the same spirit as Nawaz launching a physical attack on the Supreme Court.

They'll just send out Gullu Butts to attack people.

How can anyone not be suspicious when someone like Sadiq allegedly beats Pakistani cricket legend and celebrity Imran Khan in Khan's hometown of Lahore?

The thing is that if this recount happens then they can atleast say that they allowed this and are not backing down from any form of recounts or audit. Images matter big time in politics especially pak politics. either way at the very least this recount is going to happen so they should accept it happily and end up becoming the bigger men here however they are being foolish and are fighting it which makes them look extremely guilty.

The main focus should be to put an end by negotiating as they have brought imran back to the judicial commission which was being talked of, when imran was moving in the azadi march and have a simple audit. Even if they lose 20 to 25 seats ( which is huge as the main focus is on 35 seats that questions all parties everywhere) then they still wouldnt lose their control in the parliament and would end up looking much better as they can easily say that they did it for the betterment of pakistan but they wont do that since doing that would make it look like they lost to imran.

even the negotiations delays are happening bcz they want to make sure they take their time and make him wait. Its an old tactic to here to show your importance you make the other person wait.

Why only a single member??.
