I have been reading various views & counter views on Modi here by various posters of all nationalities. My views are as below.

I will keep it short & not justify my views.

I see in Modi , the first PM who is secular, doesn't appease any sect creed or religion, unlike some fakes we had earlier, I also see an honest and incorruptible PM who is completely focused on taking India to a very different level, I also see a dedicated, hard working, imaginative, practical, grounded, proactive and a very intelligent and shrewd person in him. I also see the results of his labour bearing fruit.

He also is the first PM we have had in decades who is in control of his Govt. It may not be 100 % ( it would become a dictatorship) but one feels that he has a firm grip on the handle.

I don't get what most of us are doing - criticising him without having made any contribution ourselves. Least we can do is, not hinder him in his quest and call him names even before his 5 yrs are up.

If at the end of 5 years we are not happy, the ballot box has other buttons too. The man deserves a fair chance to succeed before he fails.

Finally a Question- what is our Plan B - Rahul Gandhi ?

It does not matter if Modi is the best PM we have, what matters is what our our options both within the NDA & in the UPA ?

It is clear you are a chaddi bhakt and supporter of "safron terror".

This means your posts have no value.

Its all Modi's fault.

I am guilty of giving up on him. :(

But i must agree, that Modi is a true leader, a crowd puller. He gets ppl to sit up and take notice.
Most of his ministers are performing well albeit some in his govt water down his efforts.
I am keeping my fingers crossed, i hope he gets a 2nd term to achieve what he aims to achieve. 5 years are not enough to bring a behemoth like India back on track.

I agree. He is the only PM that is more popular than any other politician in the world

All Hype! My state got the supposed Jackpot. BJP in state and centre.

The results

- My town used to get 8 hours of power cut during UPA, we get 9 hours of power cut during BJP. 9 hours is minimum and properly scheduled power cut - as a bonus we always get couple of hours more.

- We used to get 8 hours of water supply during UPA and now we get 4.

- We had a serviceable two lane road merging with GT road but now it is in shambles with no chance for repairs

- We had an ongoing project for construction of Railway station (as of now we have to go 80 kms via bus or car to catch a train, 450 kms for flight) and now that project is halted.

- Utilities are more expensive - 5.5 Rs per unit of electricity vs 4 in UPA. New Water connection requires a bribe of 25k rs and new electricity meter requires a bribe of 11k Rs

- Much more Maoist activity and increase in regular crime

- Food stuff and fuel is more expensive.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now in above scenario why the hell would I or anyone vote for Modi?

Macro economic scenarios like GDP growth rate is irrelevant to common man if his disposable income and savings are shrinking

Rafales are irrelevant if a person feels unsafe to venture out after 7 PM out of his own home

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is why BJP always looses.

Wrong..He can be good but not better than his highness Muammar Gadaffi. In India not everyone has home but under the rule of Muammar Gadaffi "a home was considered a natural human right". In Libya "Education and medical treatment were all free"."Electricity was free" If I am not wrong not every one has access to electricity. Gaddafi raised the level of education. Has Modi done any of the things ? I am not taking any credit away from him but he is not the most popular politician.

We cannot compare a Dictator with an elected PM.

.
What do you think of Colonel Gaddafi? Tyrant? Dictator? Terrorist? Well, a national citizen of Libya may disagree but we want you to decide.

For 41 years until his demise in October 2011, Muammar Gaddafi did some truly amazing things for his country and repeatedly tried to unite and empower the whole of Africa.

So despite what you’ve heard on the radio, seen in the media or on the TV, Gaddafi did some powerful things that are not characteristic of a “vicious dictator” as portrayed by the western media.

Great

But once again your comparison was wrong , unless it was an attempt to showcase Gadaffi . In which case it was out of place.

Modi has a vision for the country unlike his opponents. He cares what happens to India and he is on the same ride as the rest of us.

He is not corrupt.

BJP does not have enough good quality experienced people and that is a huge drawback. They have more than their fair share of serious duffers. They will attract experienced and talented people with time provided they stay in power long enough...but it is hard to stay in power without enough experienced people so catch 22.

The alternative is Rahul Gandhi and his mommy and their band of thieves. Anything is better than that.

.
Simple point - All the usual idiots in Sonia, Pappu, Kejru & co are attacking Modi & RSS, instead of attacking the policies or any corruption (not that there is)

That shows me that Modi and his govt are doing good work and these opposition jokers have nothing to attack the govt.
