All the funding and the support came from KSA. The ideology of wahabism was taught and nurtured there to produce mujahideen for jihad.

yes training for weapon handling was given but not necessarily in madrassas. Pakistan had to be the main contender because USSR was a few hundred miles away waiting for an opportunity to enter Balochistan.

Pakistan didnt use Taliban, in 1990's the soviet occupation was almost over. There was no need to use them.

However the entire world was different in the 1990s and earlier... there was a Seismic change when 9/11 occurred and the world woke up to the threat of extremism and Pakistan Army changed course to be on the right side of history.

He is not doing any propaganda, it is simply his wish. It is not necessary that every wish comes true. Having said that I also sometime wonder as to what constitutional method is left to rescue this country. These politicians have modified constitution sufficient enough to escape justice. The constitution of Pakistan is no more protector of people but protector or realm.
In order to have the constitution regain its strength and power, it needs to be modified accordingly. Only 2/3rd majority in NA can do it and they wont. Gen PM had a chance. He tried to do it using the politicians and was successful to some extent. But all his efforts were reversed by so called public representatives. People sitting in NA have only one objective i.e. to protect their own interest. In the given scenario only an extra (current) constitutional measure can rectify this situation. Abrogate the constitution, instead of legislative assembly a constitutional assembly should be formed, which definitely cannot be done by general elections. New constitution is implemented and enforced for X number of years. This is to ensure that people forget old constitution and no Bhutto remains alive in any of the political party. Only then a new general assembly elected under free, fair and as per new constitution takes its place. Not to forget new constitution should take away the powers of MNAs and MPAs to revise their own benefits and development funds from them. Their only job should be restricted to positive law making in the interest of country and people.

The only way forward is that democracy continues. If three or four governments finish their terms and elections are held a lot of trash will be eliminated. The same is happening to PPP these days. They are slowly being washed away. Similarly JI is being ignored by voters and this is evident from last two national assembly seat elections.

Perhaps Nawaz Sharif and his family was also going towards his end but PTI has given him new life. Now he has a casue to fight and if people somehow accept his version then we might see another term for PML(N).

This is the only way forward.
