Addressing an event at a local hall, Pak Sar Zameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal said Pakistan can't operate without Karachi.
"A solution to Karachi's problems is the solution to Pakistan's problems," said Kamal. "The government must facilitate the business community."
The former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) party member said the number of votes in favour of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 2013's elections reflected the hatred for MQM founder Altaf Hussain.
"Criminals suit him [Altaf Hussain]. He continues to make efforts to turn Muhajirs against members of other ethnicities."
He blamed the party founder for the downfall of MQM and Muhajirs.
"We [PSP] won't accept charity, donations or zakat," said Kamal. "We will dissolve the party the day we take a single wrong action."
"The government should focus on making the process of population census transparent," he said.
