There are many Muslim citizen U.S.A too. Nothing wrong in preferring country interest. There are thousands of Muslim battles they fought each other. You will just prefer where you were born &. raised.

If the reason of removing the hijab is logical by the seniors then OK fine otherwise it's her choice to wear head scarf or not. If you are civilize nation so respect & accept the right of others. Army personnel fights against enemy & terrorism & not against any religion.

We are ourselves confused .... In Pakistan we are supporting 'Aurat March' slogans like ' Mera Jism Meri Marzi'.
When such happens in USA our narrative then totally changed to 'Uska Jism Meri Marzi'.
We have double standards/faces.

A Muslim soldier will be suing the US army after her command sergeant major allegedly forced to take off her hijab in front of their colleagues.

Sergeant Cesilia Valdovinos, who is serving in the 704th Brigade Support Battalion, said in a recent interview with Yahoo! that she has experienced “extremely hateful” behaviour for her Muslim identity.

“I got called a terrorist. I got called ISIS,” Ms Valdovinos told Yahoo!. “I hear comments that I’m the reason why 9/11 happened. There’s a lot of anger and animosity.”

She said her brigade commander, Colonel David Zinn, gave her permission in June 2016 to wear the hijab while in uniform.

But last month, Ms Valdovinos filed a complaint with the Equal Opportunity Office in the military, and said that afterwards her command sergeant major pulled her from the rank and forced her to remove the hijab in front of other soldiers.

“I felt embarrassed and religiously raped in a sense,” Ms Valdovinos said in a email to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), a nonprofit advocacy organisation dedicated to religious freedom.

“My religious preference is only to unveil in front of my husband in the comfort of my own home,” she added.

In an official complaint to the Military Equal Opportunity Office (MEO), Ms Valdovinos alleges that she was removed from her post as a “culinary arts specialist” because she had a “religious preference to not handle pork.” She also reported that she was referred to as “the girl with the hood” by her sergeant among other incidents.

Although the MEO complaint was reportedly considered to be “unsubstantiated,” Ms Valdovinos is now planning on taking legal action against the US Army for denying her religious rights protected under the First Amendment.

Still a house Muslim

The lack of logic and perspective on PDF baffles me at times.

A couple of points.

Firstly, she likely was either born in the US or moved there from the Phillipines as a Christian.

She likely reverted to Islam at some point.

There is freedom of religion in the US.

No matter the current environment (artifically manufactured by some to marginalize muslims from the mainstream), she is protected by US law.

Also, she is an American and a muslim.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

To say that they are supports what Trump and his depolorables are narrating.

Also, you can object to official US policy whether its foreign affairs or taxes or anything in between and still serve.

I see this sort of crap all the time in person by Muslim folk and its no wonder we are in the state that we are in.

. . .
In PA, PAF etc hijab not allowed without prior permission.

Your kidding me?

Generally, the US army is good with helping Muslim soldiers. Ther is an 'Imam', I think a senior seargent rank. People are given 'sahri' in Ramadan, etc.
