They are following Hindu extremists of India who demolished "Babri Mosque" [Masjid]..

Trends are circulating on Twitter from few days in Support by Pakistani Hindu Minority and Against by Mullah from Debandis and Barelvis who are followers of Mullah Khadim Hussain Rizwi and Taqi Usmani..

And few local Muslim teenagers also tried to demolish the temple when it is in initial stage of construction..

This is what is wrong. Owing to the population in Islamabad, it doesn't make sense to build a large temple. But some people, and scholars, are citing reasons which are otherwise just disrespectful to minorities.

This is why I said, even if a temple was built in a place where there is a sizeable Hindu population, these people would oppose it.

It says that temples which are already present, they can be maintained so that non-Muslims can pray in them while remaining in their 'Hudood' (not sure what the correct word would be in English for this context) with complete freedom. But building their religious sites, new or destroyed, or even giving them permission to build one is not okay.

Building mandirs is a problem because of history of violence with hindus. They slaughtered a million muslims and continue to do kill and desecrate mosques.

But it should be totally fine to build churches for our Christian minority.
