well, most of them are quite old or dead, so i wont insult them with ur question (i m sure u have no such inhibitions, i can only pity u with the culture u got from "whoever").
but as i said, even in the ancestral place, we were in a good position, had our own land and house. so i can ignore ur theory of dalits getting raped by certain communities.
its there in UP Bihar unfortunately, but not here in bengal or assam.

A Dalit man in Faridabad, Haryana was murdered by the brother of his Muslim wife, as the family refused to accept their love marriage.

Sanjay, a Dalit man living in 3-Number Chowk of Faridabad, married his neighbour, who hails from a Muslim family, one year ago.

They later got their marriage registered in Rajasthan but the woman’s family did not approve of their love marriage.

The relatives of deceased, Sanjay, have alleged that the girl's brother had taken Sanjay from the house on August 16 and murdered him

Dalits used to be Outcasts from their own Jaathis so its natural they were treated like out castes.

But Hindu majority India made a Dalit Dr. Ambedkar the chairman of the constitutional committee and gave 50% reservations to them too.

no i m pretty sure, casteism is at its lowest in the eastern parts of our country, although bihar is very casteist.
bengalis are casteist when it comes to marriages, apart that, nothing is casteist about them.
among assamese, casteism is near absent, considering its distance with the hindu belt around the ganges.
