A Muslim Bangladeshi Rashid Mia was killed by Pakistani army for making idols in 1971. Actually you can not term Bangladesh a Muslim country. It is a secular country where Muslims are majority with Hindu culture. We are Hindu by our ethnicity but Muslim by religion.

Then I gradually learned to make idols and decorate them with paintbrushes. ‘Thus weeks, months and years go by. I don't even know when it became a profession. Now I make idols all year round. Durga Puja has the most pressure since three months ago. In addition to this work, sometimes you have to drive a van or work as a day laborer.
