Musharraf's sentence pained every soldier of Pak Army: Ch Shujaat Hussain

LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has on Wednesday said General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s sentence has caused pain to every soldier of Pakistan Army standing at the border for the country’s defense.

The PML-Q president said we should worry about the sentiments of these soldiers as well who defend our motherland. What will be the morale of an army officer whose chief will be termed as a traitor, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain asked.

It is pertinent here to mention that a special court had sentenced former president and top military official Pervez Musharraf to death in high treason case on Tuesday.

A three-member bench comprising Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Waqar Seth, Justice Nazar Akbar of Sindh High Court (SHC) and Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court (LHC) had on Tuesday announced the verdict that was reserved on December 5.

During the hearing, Justice Seth said that ex-president has been found guilty of violating the Article 6 of the Constitution by clamping the state of emergency on November 3, 2007.

Reacting to the verdict, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in its press release, “The decision given by special court about General Pervez Musharraf, Retired has been received with lot of pain and anguish by rank and file of Pakistan Armed Forces.

“Ex-Army Chief, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee and President of Pakistan, who has served the country for over 40 years, fought wars for the defense of the country can surely never be a traitor.

“The due legal process seems to have been ignored including constitution of special court, denial of fundamental right of self defence, undertaking individual specific proceedings and concluding the case in haste.

“Armed Forces of Pakistan expect that justice will be dispensed in line with Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”

This is not the question, he imposed martial law. Court should initiate the hearing from 1999 not from 2007. If they start the hearing from 99 , then all present judges , Iftikhar kana will be in jail . But Nawaz and Iftikhar played all there cards...
Hearing from 2007 gave clean chit to all corrupt mafia and judicial mafia.

Few days his brother Pervaiz Elahi was advising/criticising PTI that why they are interfering in Musharaf case by lodging a request of not to announce the verdict on Dec 02. In other words, to let Musharaf go. But today they all got shaft up after ISPR tweet.

More interesting is the case of PTI defending Musharraf. Declared themselves as party of establishment and puppets. Musharraf verdict is open and shut case as per article 6.

That is why he can not be punished the way they sentenced him, as that amendment was made after the events of 2007 or 1999 so as per article 12 he can not be punished like that.

That is what law experts are saying.

Have you red what he said or actual article and what changes were made to it ?
Musharraf is Traitor w.r.t constitution of 73 when it was written in 73 by the full backing of the Army. Army took oath on it as well.
