Musharraf launches Korakorum Highway expansion project

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Feb 16 (APP)resident Pervez Musharraf on Saturday launched the project to expand Korakorum Highway, aimed at improving trade and commercial activity particularly with neighbouring China. The 335 kilometre long road from Rai Kot to Khunjrab will be widened by 7.3 metre. The project worth 30 billion rupees will be completed by December 2011. (Posted @ 13:15 PST)

Question is, he started record projects in his tenure or history of Pakistan, but our nation always doubt his sincerity.

It is not his sincerity that people doubt. You have to understand that even people like me who supported him are now against him due to his antics during the last one year. The chief Justice affair, then emergency ,invitation of BB, while deportation of NS, all for his own preservation. He is still going on about how the CJ misused public funds and protocol arrangements, allegations which can be held true for a lot of his own Ministers and Generals. It is all of these things and the clumsy way in which certain events have been swept under the carpet have all led to a mistrust in the minds of the people.

He is a great guy, if he had dropped his uniform in 2002 or even 2004, people would have loved him even now. His attempt to fire the CJ also made him unpopular because people think he is trying to cling on to power at the expense of the country.

In my view he is the best leader Pakistan has seen since the Quaid and Liaqat Ali Khan, and he will be remembered in our history books as the man who turned around Pakistan from virtual bankruptcy and breakup to the great nation it will become in a couple of decades time. He will be like our Lincoln, seeing us through a civil war and a tumultuous period of history.

-Y he diden't allowed US forces to operate in Pakistan.
-Y did he continued Iran gas pipeline project even USA is against it.
there are some questions you need to think before speak against him.

You are douting a persons who only & only fought for Pakistan & its Soverinity ? His acts who you oppose were only to save Pakistan nothing else. SInce he made some mistakes that i agree bcoz he is a human & no human is 100% correct.
But you cannot Forgert his Efforts he did for Pakistan just for one reason.

I was with his & i will be with him Since he is the only person who stood for Pakistan Alone, When he needed, no one was there to help him, but he fought.

No. Mushy is the complete opposite of Zia.

Zia was an Islamist fascist, Mushy is a secular liberal. Zia introduced the Hudood laws, Mushy is the one who introduced the Women Protection Bill.

The only similarity the two have that they are army generals, that's it.

Whatever so-called democratic people say against Musharraf or whatever hate they have for him.

I support him for everything that he gave to Pakistan be it protests, the CJ issue or elections or fight against terrorism or media freedom or the crackdowns.

Beacause all this has taught us many things atleast it had educated me on many fronts and i think all the above factors have started a positive transaction in terms of democracy, public behaviour, and many many other things.

Im all for support for Musharraf.
