Many Iraqi factions, such as al-Nujaba paramilitary group – designated a terrorist organization by the US - have already fought alongside Afghan and Pakistani Shiite militias and Hezbollah in Syria, to prop up Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

Head of al-Nujaba Akram al-Kabee welcomed Sadr’s call.

“With determination, conviction, preparedness and readiness [we go] towards ‘International Resistance Regiments’,” Kabee said in a tweet on Sunday.

Abo Alaa al-Walae, head of the PMF’s Kataib Sayid al-Shuhada faction thanked Sadr for the proposal, using the hashtag “towards international resistance to defeat America.”

Other militia leaders such as Kataib Imam Ali’s Shibl al-Zaidy have also pledged allegiance to the proposal.

This scumbag need to be eliminated along Hadi Al-Ameri.

Al Nujaba is the biggest terrorist group we have in Iraq along with Saraya al Khorasani, they bypass Baghdad openly and answer to Tehran's chain of command. Neither are part of the PMU.

Back in the day, even the useless Al Maliki used to send ISOF after the Mahdi army in 2007/2008. Plenty of vids on that online. Tehran's policy is a weak Iraqi state, avoiding a strong central authority thus allowing them freehand in meddling.

What Iraqis need to understand, Iran is destroying foreign countries where it has considerable following, just to create his image of American enemy.
What it means practically, Iran is playing bloody game in Iraq, which is not good even for the shia populace. If Iran wanted to engage US, it could have done it in Afghanistan, which was already ruined, why destroy Iraq!?
Iraqis can't agree to complete US with drawl, while there's no reprisal from, Iranian militias.
Even if US evacuate, I ran will not back off, example of Syria, Lebanon, Yemen are out there.
All region has been crushed between Iran and US for close to a decade and it will continue to be like this, until a major regional war break out.... so there's no escape from misery in short or long term.
