LAHORE: A Member of National Assembly belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Tahira Asif, was shot and injured on Wednesday in Lahore, DawnNews reported.

The lawmaker was rushed to Shaikh Zayed Hospital from where hospital sources said she would be shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

SP Iqbal Town added that Asif had received two bullet wounds.

Other eyewitnesses claimed that the MNA was wounded while resisting a robbery attempt.

Hope she get well soon from injuries tho she is in under surgery with critical condition she got two bullets in her back. Police saying it's a robbery attempt which finish in firing on her as she struggle, my guess she targeted by right wing ban out fit group or TTP Punjab cell.
