Most competent police force of S.Asia

Bangladesh Police Force repeatedly proved that They are the most capable police force in South Asia.

Today they have killed Head of ISIS Bangladesh Branch within one month of the Gulshan terrorist attack.

Previously during 2001-2006 period they put an end of Bangla vai and Shayakh Abdur Rahman.

I would say Bangladesh and Pakistani police forces both have done great job. Indian police struggled a lot in the past but their military division seems to be more than capable, only time shall prove that. Why is Lankan police even here? No offense but there wasn't any terrorist act in recent times to prove them

Didn't BD police viciously beat up your commonwealth gold medallist champion till he felt he had to leave the country for his own security and dignity?

How does that make BD police more capable or professional than anyone else in the region?

My BD friends have told me plenty of horror stories about BD "police". If anything they are somewhat worse overall given the much higher corruption in BD compared to India.

I can't vote for any one of these countries, they all have a long way to go before I can call them "competent". Right now its like choosing which shade of brown you like your shit.

Anti-terrorism stuff is like 0.0001% of what a police force does overall day to day....and its highly variable performance open to debate anyway given the state of institutional transparency in South Asia.

No their current performance against terrorists and hostage situation is far more better than India and Pakistan.
Sri Lankan forces probably the worst may be improve in future because they failed miserably against LTTE.

This would mean something if a country is mostly a population of terrorists.

Besides counter-terrorism often has little to do with the police's professionalism/capability/competence anyway....but a myriad of other factors often in political and organisational realm.....which is changing quickly in the whole region and makes it impossible to "rate" with any accuracy.

Competent based solely on level of handling terrorism... I had to go with Bangladesh. Competent in professional social field.... None of em are.
End of the day I am only taking handling of serious matters as concerns for the vote... Other issues like corruption, bad social interaction is part of almost every police force in the world.

End of the day... I just hate police in general.
