More than 49% FDI is possible if LM makes F22 or F335 in India

. . .
Lol they won't even make it in Uk.

Joint collaboration in R & D, F35 , Aircraft carriers etc...etc... is a possibility. Watch the video.

F22 I don't think so ... but within a decade who knows.

But the main thing is how prepared are we?

we need good decision making, skilled man power and a huge R & D infrastructure to make big push in defense sector.

We need to grab the opportunities and grow stronger.

Yes, I think Parrikar did indicate that the government would support FDI even for pure manufacturing purposes with no tech transfer. But I think in those cases I think there would not be any commitment from the MOD, meaning the Foreign investor would move manufacturing to reduce their costs for their global supply chain while India would allow FDI in the anticipation of grooming the local manufacturing capabilities and skill set.

they didnt even give f22 to japan after many requests.nobody is gonna get f22 except usa.

Yes and I don't think there was any expectation either. They were just trolling LM ...

There is no big use, even if they "produce" F22, F35 or even F16's in India. USA has strict export control laws, and such techniques shared with Indian cos cannot be used in any other project.
Will it save money for India? I am not sure. It will just rise manifold, and USA will happy to take away the dollars from India when conditions seem unfavourable.

They can troll Lockheed Martin all they want, it doesn't matter one bit. Even if Lockheed Martin agrees to allow production of the F-22 in India, the US congress, which has banned the exporting of F-22, will deny and void any agreement.

The law is here

India is extremely important to US.

Not more important than Japan, and they were denied the F-22. You can get the F-35, it was offered to you just as it was offered to US allies Japan, Norway, the UK and other important nations, you wont be made an exception for F-22.

This is free for export:

Thanks for the pictures

India is aware that F22 is not be available and would purchase F-35 as part of aircraft carrier deal.

Both LM and Government of India know that India procuring F-16s is very slim as F-16s are being used by Pakistan. Also, Since it is a single engine plane like Gripen, it would have to compete with India's home grown LCA for any interest/attention. Both LM and Government of India are just posturing. India would not be interested in F-16s unless there is a compelling offer on the table.

On the other hand, India would go for F-18s or F15s for the new 90 Plane RFP for MMRCA which resulted from the cancellation of the deal for RAFALE. Boeing has also been investing in India for sometime now and is better positioned to fulfill any offset requirements when compared to LM.

Indians on their knees begging。Again?
Asking the manufacturer to build the system in India is begging or threatening? THAN WHAT YOU CALL BILLION DOLLAR military aid released by Obama for Pakistan?

. .
It's s trolling by DM on f22,he could have added northrop grummen's B2 spirit also in this list.
My doubt is we are having our own amca then y to go for f35 for our future aircraft, which itself is in drawing board.
