Modi rally invitation to family of blasts accused
RANCHI: Family members of Imtiyaz Ansari, an accused in the Patna serial blasts case, are likely to attend Narendra Modi's 'Vijay Sankalp' rally in Ranchi on December 29.
BJP leaders on Sunday went to Seethio village and invited family members of those who are on NIA list for their suspected links to terror outfits.
"Terrorism can never be linked to a community. We believe that Imtiyaz is an individual who has been motivated by some bad elements and that doesn't make his family members part of conspiracy in any form," said former Ranchi Assembly Speaker and Ranchi BJP MLA C P Singh who personally handed over invitation card to Kamaluddin Ansari, Imtiyaz's father. Kamaluddin has accepted the invitation and promised to attend the rally with family.
The BJP leaders also held a meeting in the village from where at least five people have been named by NIA to be responsible for the Patna serial blasts. Ainul alias Tariq Ansari of the same village was killed in Patna Railway station blast while he was planting the bomb.
Three others - Numan Ansari, Taufiq Ansari and Mujibullah have been absconding and wanted by NIA.
Former BJP MP Ajay Maroo said that the party wanted to give a message that fighting terror is a different ball game. "We need to win over hearts and explain to everyone that government means development for all and terrorism is the enemy of humanity while being specific that terror could not be linked to a family or community," he said.
Kamaluddin, however, was angry about the way his family is being harassed by investigating agency. "I admit that if my son has done something wrong he should be punished by law but that doesn't make each one of us a terrorist," he said, adding that they have been cooperating with the sleuths.

1.) This is called vote bank politics and pseudo Secularism. If it was done by the congress the Modi chamchas must have called for its blood but as its BJP they will support anything by it.
2.) While we all know that family members are not terrorist and they have not plnted bombs but the very senior BJP leader personally visiting their home and inviting them at a political rally shows that how low BJP can go for votes.
It reminds of BJP's Lahore visit or minority appeasement gimmicks during NDA rule.
3.) This family is of a terrorist not of a Shaheed or any achiever Olympic medalist why BJP honoring them with their senior leader??
