Economic aid of US was negligible. Military aid, yes. I see there is an impression in India fed constantly by media and polticians that Pakistan at its own is nothing. Has achieved nothing in history. Here are the facts. If foreign aid is any measure to go by then Pakistan can continue to receive aid at the same rate for next one century and yet not match aid India has received since 1947. That's the amount of foreign aid India has received just to keep its poor alive and is still receiving because Indian government just won't spend on its marginalised sections of society. Get the picture? 100 years more and you can't bring foreign aid into discussion.

For first three decades of its existence, Pakistan's economy grew so rapidly that it was considered as a model for the world. If you are into unbiased research, please do so and have that moment of clarity. We left India way way behind us in just about everything. There is section on this forum titled Pakistan before 90s. Sleepless nights? You should read your own links before commenting. The objection is because it cuts through Kashmir which India routinely objects to (it's why you get no international funding for any proposed dams in Kashmir) and Pakistan does vice versa.

More importantly it is to neutralise Chinese objections to Indian projects in the South China sea. You go through territory India considers disputed, shouldn't expect china's concerns to be heard in the SC sea.

Pakistan and India need to resolve their CRAP. Split Kashmir down the middle or whatever and be done with it. Both nations are expected to join the SCO. This is a biggest joke i heard that an indian bound goods will be docked in gwadar port as tax free policy.There are several big indian ports at the nose tip of pakistani port and they can straight away dock to indian ports than on a hostile neighbour.By the way gwadar is not a big port and india bound cargo should transport all the way north to wagah border which is costly,unsafe and non practical.
