CONgress responds this terrible news of 100% electrification in India.

"By Electrifying every Indian Village, Modi Government has increased the risk of deaths due to electrocution. Villagers have never seen electricity & also dnt know how to use them, If any mishaps happen, who will be responsible?"

- Dr. Manmohan Singh in Jan Aakrosh Rally

Leisang in Manipur with a population of 65 received electric power yesterday.

With this every single village in India has electric power.

In 2015, 18,452 villages did not have power.

Low IQ idiot strikes again.
Every village electrified does not mean every house electrified. A village is termed as electrified if 10% of the household gets electricity connection. The target for 100% electricity to every household is 2021-22, but if this govt stays in power it will be achieved much before that.

If anyone wants i can share some photos...

a single house... 2 kilometres away from main village... with electricity connection...
Initially they were using gas lamps and were stealing electricity from nearby tubewells... In 2014 Dec they got solar power system... now they have electric pole till their house...

A village of 50 people... 1.5 km new electricity line... 18 hours electricity since 2017... before that they were using own equipment to access that last pole which was 1.5 km away from their village...

We don't need Bloomberg, Iceberg or Goldberg to see the changes happening near us...

. . . . .
You posted some idiotic banter on teitter. My ques was who was in power during 2016? Is it modi or rahul Gandhi ?

Your doltishness has no bounds.
You could have instead asked who lays eggs; Rooster or hen.

I don't engage in mental combat with an unarmed dude.
Now shoo.

That is a sign of lost argument...

What is an argument when you ask people an inane & silly question that is >>> what is 2+2=?

Looks bad on you.
Don't have some, dont start the shik. Stay silent.

The scheme is to bring electricity to all villages and GOI is successful in it. Now we have to connect the individual houses to the already existing infrastructure. GOI has a soubhagya scheme for it as I already mentioned.

PM Modi Claims Every Indian Village Has Electricity’; Cong Chief Rahul Gandhi Terms it ‘Yet Another Lie’

New Delhi, April 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that his government has fulfilled the promise of providing electricity to all villages in India. Also, a report presented by the government showed that approximately 94 percent of the villages in India were already electrified before May 2014.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • PM Modi had promised that all villages where electricity was yet to reach, will have the power within 1,000 days.
  • Congress president Rahul Gandhi dubbed it as ‘yet another lie’ and attached a news report which claimed that the reality on ground is different
“28th April 2018 will be remembered as a historic day in the development journey of India. Yesterday, we fulfilled a commitment due to which the lives of several Indians will be transformed forever! I am delighted that every single village in India now has access to electricity,” Modi tweeted on Sunday.

Prime Minister Modi promise:
PM Modi had promised that all villages where electricity was yet to reach, will have the power within 1,000 days. And in this regard, the government announced a scheme named after BJP ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya – the Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana. Congress president Rahul Gandhi dubbed it as ‘yet another lie’ and attached a news report which claimed that the reality on ground was different. Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala also said that India has 6,49,867 villages. Congress was responsible for providing electricity to 97 percent of the villages. During UPA (2004-14), Congress electrified 1,07,600 villages. (Also read: Every Indian Village Electrified, Claims Modi; Congress Says PM Taking Fake Credit)

Official figures:
According to a report, India’s 597,464 census villages have now been electrified. When Modi took office in 2014, there were some 18,452 villages without electricity. When the BJP-led government had launched its version of the village electrification scheme — the Rs 76,000-crore Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) — there were an estimated 18,452 villages left to be electrified. An additional 1,275 villages were later added to the list.

According to official estimates, about 3.14 crore rural households or 17 per cent of total 17.99 crore rural households still do not have any access to electricity. The highest numbers are in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, and Odisha. And to take electricity to all households by the end of 2018, the government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana or the Saubhagya scheme. Of the Rs 16,320 crore needed for the task, Rs 12,320 crore has already been provided in the Union Budget.
