I wanted to understand how the EAF conducts its business of securing airframes and equipment. I am furious right now at the picks of aircraft that I think have some sort of elements of old fashioned nostalgia along with and inept capability to foresee and overcome Israel's potential in the future.
I wonder why the EAF wants Mig-29M2s, MiG-35s, Rafales and JP-17s to have along with and replacing some F-16s, Mirage 2000, Mirage Vs and Mig-21/F-7s.

I have a serious mind boggling experience trying to rationalise so can someone make sense of what the hell is going on here?

Everybody observing is a bit confused. Wait out for actual deliveries or concrete confirmation of air craft contracts. It seems the media has misconstrued and miscommunicated EAF interest with actual orders.

I am not qualified to comment on their strategy but whatever it is i sure hope they have some strategy of surviving a massive pre-emptive strike. Egyptian military is the smarter of the arab militaries and they have always changed and adapted.
