2) Rana Sanaullah denies any govt official's involvement and calls it entirely police's decision.

3) Phone calls of SS, Rana Sanaullah and CM Secretary emerge. CM talked about model town operation before it started.

4) SS suspends Rana Sanaullah

and now this.


What patwari league champs at this forum have to say about this now, they were all out to defend punjab govt at this incident from start? If Rana Sanaullah ordered this, then that means, Punjab Govt was behind this massacre since he was Punjab Law Minister. Showbaz should step down immediately.

Dude you must have been mistaken. I give full support to govt to use any means to squash this fitna of Qadri revolution. We have seen the Deobandi revolution in shape of TTP I have no desire for a Sufi revolution now (or any revolution for that case)

I just want a govt which takes sane decisions and make life a bit easier for a common citizen and do away with establishment, TTP, global jehad and revolutions.

Model Town Incident; Shahbaz submits statement


LAHORE: The Advocate General of Punjab has submitted the statement of the Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif to the inquiry tribunal on the Model Town Incident – ARY News reports.


Shahabaz Sharif in his statement, said that he came to know about the event through television and that he had scolded the Principal Secretary of Punjab, for keeping him uninformed.

Justice Ali Baqar resumed the hearing, during which the Advocate General submitted the statement by the CM Shahbaz.Sharif, which the court ordered to be read out.

The Chief Minister in his statement said, while he was there at the Governor House Punjab, for attending the oath-taking ceremony of the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, where from he got to know via television that a heavy contingent of police and PAT workers are standing outside the Minhaj ul Quran International (MQI) Secretariat.

Shahbaz claimed to order the police to retreat from there, fearing any casualties or worsened law and order. He later set out for Model town, where he had to meet a foreign delegation.

During the meeting, he came to know about the fact that bullets were fired outside the MQI Secretariat, consequently killing innocent people over there, at which he ordered to provide best facilities to the deceased and the injured of the incident.

The Chief Minister further stated that due to the killings of innocent people, he immediately suspended the CCPO Lahore, DIG Operations and SP Model Town.

Shahbaz said a joint inquiry team (JIT) was constituted after the event and a tribunal comprising of a high court judge was also made, in order to ensure transparent investigations of the Model Town Incident.

He told that Rana Sanaullah had chaired a meeting on June 16, which was not into his knowledge, while he also scolded the Principal Secretary for this.

Moreover, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) also submitted the record of telephonic conversation between many people, to the tribunal, following which the inquiry tribunal adjourned the hearing of the case.

So showbaz was at governor house for 14 hours (model town operation continued for 14 long hours) and was unaware of this whole drama during that long period of time. And was finally got to know about it via TV only when 14 people were dead and some 80+ got injured..?

We had another case in Punjab where public at large attacked a police station to rescue a saintly investor called double shah, if govt starts listening to these zombies Pakistan is done for.

Plus you challenge the constitution and writ of state you deserve what you get, Taliban is a problem which has now become big enough to challenge the state you want another group of loonies to do the same? Nip the evil in the bud I say, now is the time to take a hammer to these revolutionary loonies.

What blinded by hate? here is a loser who has been in politics for 3 decades now and has spectacularly failed every time. He failed under Zia, failed Under NS, failed under BB even failed under Musharraf (only a single seat). After spending half his life in politics he has become the messiah of change because he knows he can't win anyway public will reject him.
