Militant leader surrenders in Quetta

QUETTA: A leader of the banned United Baloch Army (UBA) has surrendered to authorities along with his 50 supporters.

Wali Mohammad alias Haji Kalati, the UBA ‘commander’ for Kohlu, Kahan and Barkhan region, announced his surrender at a press conference at the residence of provincial Irrigation Minister Nawab Jangeez Khan Marri here on Thursday.

Kalati claimed that he had been fighting for independence of Balochistan since 1970 and spent 45 years on mountains.

“Now I have realised that this fight has been launched by tribal chiefs to protect their own interests,” he said, adding that internal fighting among leaders of banned organisations had helped him to come to that conclusion.

Mr Marri asked members of Marri tribe to say farewell to arms, join mainstream and play a role in development of the country and the province.

he must be rehablitated and protected as well in addition to facing any charges against him. even if there was some please bargain.

Indeed he should be protected and rehabilitated to set a positive example, if say BLA succeed in eliminating him, it will discourage others to lay down their arms. In any case, the cultural centres must be reeling in shock, if he has been active and survived for the last 45 years, who knows what wealth of information he must be disclosing.

The tweet i posted above points to this direction. Every mission our boys fly and every missile fired does cost us but hell the pain and loss in Delhi must be unbearable, specially as even US ignores their drama queen tantrums and supplies the material for a sure kill.

But not to forget FC Balochistan has done the most important work here. In past 3-4 weeks there have been pitched battles between FC and terrorists belonging to different terrorist organizations like BLA, BRA, BLF, UBA etc etc and has resulted in death of dozens of terrorists while arresting several others. With Pak army busy in Zarb e Azb, FC hs surely done a very good work.

When you have billions of PAK ruppess and Millions of dollars in fund. You can get anything with ease. I was shocked to hear about BLA fundings! 3 Million dollars worth of currency and 800 million rs worth of weaponry. No wonders why insurgency presisted for so long due to well developed credit line these terrorists receiving from their backers
