The Mexican Navy commissioned its 10th Tenochtitlan-class coastal patrol vessel (CPV) at the Heroic Naval Military School in Antón Lizardo, Veracruz, on 6 November.

The vessel, named ARM Chichén Itza (PC-340), is the last unit of the class slated to be built under the current administration, and the eighth to be produced under the 2013–18 Navy Sectorial Plan. All vessels in the class have been built at Navy Shipyard 1 (ASTIMAR 1) in Tampico, Tamaulipas, with a design based on the Damen Stan Patrol 4207.
Chichén Itza has a length of 42.80 m, a beam of 7.11 m, a maximum speed of 25 kt, and a crew complement of 18. It is armed with two FN Herstal M2 .50 calibre heavy machine guns and carries a single rigid-hull inflatable boat aboard.
