MEDITATIONS IN NEUTRALITY...

I think those that are pushing for a balanced view of the situation are being disingenuous. You cannot compare the previous govts to this one - world of difference. We disagree with PTI on a lot of things - I personally disagree with everything from the populist narrative, dharnas, to some economic policies of Tareen - but can you really compare the band of thugs of the purana Pakistan? No!

Let me give one example. When PML-N left the govt last time around, the CA was ballooning and going in one direction only. PTI had the same thing happen in end of 2021. They saw the problem, and took actions, the first couple of months of 2022, the current account was okay. Another example, the dollar spiked because of this recent uncertainty- SBP intervened and raised rates, rupee gained strength. Is this what PML-N did? No, they burned through precious reserves. Another example, look at dams being built in this country.

You see, I think when we get down to it, we can and PTIans like myself admit that there were mistakes. But to compare this govt to PML-N or PpP is just ridiculous. Which is why neutrality also doesn’t make any sense. In fact, it looks like a farce.

Another imp factor beyond utilitarian conceptions of morality is the intention question.

After decades, we had some come into power whose primary intention was NOT to amass personal wealth and enjoy the perks of power (and roll them down the dynastic line) but to actually serve the nation and improve things for the poor.

For me, this is fundamental.

Welcome to Purana Pakistan....

Adjourned by the exposed judiciary, convicted felon Shehbaz Sharif claims whilst on National Television, his “Quaid is N.S”, to say the very least, is ALSO a convicted felon.

Ye hamara mulk chalae ga?!?!
🖐🏿

And I thought Pakistan believed in only ONE Quaid: Muhammad Ali Jinnah
Sorry for letting you down, Mr. Jinnah.
😔

Thanks to the exposed Judiciary and Establishment for making us go through this horrendous day.

Hmm, let's see. Perhaps a few thought experiments may help with the simple concept of remaining neutral in the face of evil.

Doing nothing, as they say, can be the biggest act.

These simple thought experiments represent what we teach kids and how moral character is generally judged. These thought experiments assume that one has the power to stop whatever is happening. Let's begin:

1) You see a child being molested by a known rapist. You stay neutral. How does this reflect on you?

2) You see an old, frail woman being robbed by a known thief. You have the power to stop it. You watch and remain neutral. How does this reflect on you?

3) You see your own mother get attacked by thugs. You watch, even though you have the power to destroy the thugs, and stay neutral. How does this reflect on you?

Is Pakistan not our shared mother? Is this not our motherland? Does Pakistan's interest not deserve to be protected at all costs? Has it not allowed us to be born in a non-Hindutva nation? Does it not require the ACTIVE blocking, stopping, defeating of blatant evil?

What would you do? What should one do? Maybe I have just been raised differently, but I was told that one must stop any injustice that one has the power to stop --- and even try to stop those that you don't have the power to stop!
This could easily be an excerpt from a jummah khutba at a mosque located in a TTP training camp.

They were involved in regime change, COAS is severely compromised.

This was an NRO 2 brokered by America to protect their interests in Pakistan. Their lobby in the army was onboard as dollars will flow.

It is an open book now how this operation was executed.

Journalists covering F9 jalsa said that people there were not chanting against the imported govt. they were chanting against the neutral folks. Will fauj counter this anti-army sentiment via Vigos? The decades it took for the army to build up its relation with Pak army went down the drain in an hour.

I took Pak COAS/ISPR as the ultimate truth too. I am ashamed of myself more than I am ashamed by this fauj.

No one told them to chant.

The best thing happened is khan fought till the last ball until the hidden faces were revealed.

It is blatantly visible, people are not blind.

How this country was sold will forever be a disgrace.

As long as East India Company Army & its related power structure exists in its current form and strength, the people of Pakistan will never have any sense of sovereignty, dignity, peace or justice.

The Brits left this power structure in 1947 & the Americans after 1947 have maintained it for this very reason. This institution is the guarantor & enforcer of compliance of the local populace.

If we are banking on the good faith & decency of a general ( or a group of them ) to stand up and defend the rights & dignity of the people, then we are no different to the sheep in an abattoir.

The people of Pakistan can only have a sovereign state if they can somehow destroy this treacherous institution along with its power structure.

100000%

Thank you.

People who don't understand the precise institutional heritage of the Pakistan Army continue to be surprised. If anybody cared to look slightly deeper into history, as you clearly have, it would emerge that our Army was not borne out of a resistance movement (like the IDF in Israel, for example) --- rather was inherited from the Imperial British Army.

And to understand this organization in its truest sense, one only has to examine how the Imperial British Army saw the land it was supposed to defend: as a colony and fiefdom, with primary responsibilities being the maintenance of order and control.

Today, is the rest of Pakistan anything but a colony of an unaccountable, omnipresent, and powerful deep state?
