Great going Indian coast guards!!

Reminds me of how Indian peacekeeping forces gave medical help to Pakistani soldiers in Congo.
We need more state marine police like we have in Maharashtra Gujarat and Kerala asking for it. It will free up coast guard to perform more logical duties.

What do you mean by "more logical" duties`?
More logical means like this task and more useful offshore patrolling. You would be surprised that our vessels spend time near shore to render support or patrolling duty. If we raise all state marine police, it will free up the coastgaurd to support more pressung roles. I do understand that this role also falls under coastguard only. But if some states are making it easier for coastguard by raising dedicated marine police, I think it should be made standard across all states touching sea. Thank you.

SAR/medical evacuation is a primary part of the ICG's mandate, it is hardly the marine police's mandate. Look at the USCG, similarly a great deal of their work is in the SAR/medical evacuation arena.

Mate I know that's why I said this & offshore patrol will be done effectively if marine police takes over the very near sea protection role.
