Breaking the stereotypes of the government bureaucracy, Indian government organisations seem to be upping their game and coming up with quick solutions and answers to people's problems though social media. A recent example of this pleasant change is the spokesperson for Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) who answered a common man's cry of help from overseas and assisted him within a day.

A commoner, Anil Biyani tweeted the MEA on February 7 asking for help. Biyani was stranded in Kuala Lumpur with his maternal aunt's dead body and wanted to take her back to Mumbai for further rituals but the embassy was closed on the weekend. Answering to his pleas, Spokesperson of the MEA, Syed Akrabuddin tweeted Biyani back assuring him of assistance. The MEA followed Biyani's tweets and took instant action assisting him overnight.

The prompt action was widely lauded by other Twitter users. Hope other government department and ministries emulate the alertness shown by MEA in this ocassion.

Why dont you let a thread clean of trolling? What is AAP going to do in MEA ?

OT..Very good effort. All government dept should be reactive to begin with and with the course of time pro-active.

Not trolling, those fools tend to forget any positive changes in the govt. and go on ranting about comments of two or three people..

On topic, I follow that dude on twitter as well, most of the govt. agencies have been very responsive ever since new govt. was formed.
