May we separate China&Far East section?

I think it is time to separate China&Far East section into two different sections:

• China
• Far East

we have the situation that the section is dominated by 90 per cent of chinese threads. What do you think?

China is part of the Far East, so it's hard to divide them that way. I agree that it doesn't make sense to group China/Far East with Southeast Asia/Indochina, however. Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar, etc. should probably be separated into a Southeast Asia section. There's a sufficient critical mass of users from that region to justify such a move, I should think.

That might help reduce some of the friction between the parties here, as well--each side can retreat to "their" corners and not interact if they do not wish to.

a good thought. I am open for your suggestion. we can group so

• China and East Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan)
• South East Asia (Vietnam and others)

I think most of vietnamese members would support such a move. Too tired to troll with the chinese. Plus their threads are almost boring: chinese can this and that.

What were you thinking? China Is part of the far east lol. But yes I agree it would be better if there were to be a separate North East Asia and South East Asia section. I've seen plenty of time where there was a friendly and genuine discussion between northeast and Southeast members, then a Chinese troll (or Southeast) would jump in to derail the thread. Separating the two sections should reduce this behaviour.

At least, the mods should make a poll to see if the majority would agree to make this seperation.

I can see the good and bad.

Good:

- People who can't stand to see other ethnic members can stay in their own section.
- With the section banning option, the mods can section ban trolls who are known to target a specific group.

Bad:

- I can see a lot of members will get section banned so there will be less troll wars, which means the forum gonna get boring.

Don't worry, most Chinese members on PDF seems to love @Nihonjin1051.

People are still free to post on any sections. Having separate NEA and SEA section means that people who target specific group can be banned from that specific section.

Although I think that would make the Asian section less fun.
