Please Understand The Cotext. At That Time Pakistan Was One Among Many Ideas For The Salvation of Muslims of The Subcontinent Some Supported Some Opposed. But After 1947 They Wholeheartedly Sided With Pakistan Unlike Bacha Khan Who Continued To Conspire Against The Country.

Don't Forget It Is The JI Leaders In Bangldesh Who Are Now Being Punished For SHowing Loyalty To Pakistan During 1971

I can see why he opposed the creation of Pakistan: it left millions of Muslims behind in a Hindu India. Imagine if there was no Partition and it was all one country, the Muslim population would be a political force to reckon it.

True. He accepted Pakistan because it was there, whether he liked it or not.

I've read his tafsir on the Qur'an in English. It's very different from the couple other tafsirs I've read. It's more politically motivated, similar to Sayyid Qutb's tafsir in how it uses Islam as a political tool to shape the ideas of the Qur'an.

Politically I don't know much about him as I've only recently started studying history of Pakistani politics

Or rather all the Muslims of the continent of India would be facing what the Muslims of Bharat are facing now.

During the British empire, Islam in the subcontinent took various forms like Deobandi, Jamaat e islami, Tablighi Jamaat etc. I do not know much about any of these parties but what I have read about Jamaat e islami is that they have huge support from the British and American government.

In 2013 when some Jamaat e islami leaders were hanged in Bangladesh, it was the British and American government who opposed their execution. Many Jamaat e islami leaders, from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are living in UK and USA under the protection of the British and American government.

Like all political and religious leaders, Madaudi transformed in later life. I have read his literature and found him very scholarly and revolutionary. Under the leadership of Qazi Hussain Ahmed his ideology inspired many youth to fight in different theatres of war in our region. Madaudi hailed from Hyderabad Deccan, a very rich and cultured State, that gave many writers and poets to Pakistan.

He was a takfiri guy who opposed Pakistan right uptil partition and after partition conveniently jumped ship and hijacked Pakistan to start his agenda of oppressing other minorities like Ahmedis. And I say this despite the fact that my qattar Ahle Hadith family members consider him as a saint.
