Star Online Report

President of West Bengal unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dilip Ghosh alleged in a Facebook post today that state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was trying to create a "Greater Bangladesh" by raising "Jai Bangla" slogan at her public meetings.

Ghosh shared a poster on his official Facebook account where an image of Mamata is shown with the caption -- "The honourary person is uttering the Bangladeshi slogan Jai Bangla which is the national slogan of Islamic Bangladesh."

"She is fighting with the objective of a Greater Bangladesh," the post said, reports our New Delhi correspondent.

An angry Mamata on January 23 declined to give her speech at an event to celebrate Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's 125th birth anniversary where "Jai Shri Ram" slogans were raised in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kolkata.

"This is a government programme and not a political programme. There has to be dignity. It doesn't behove anybody to invite people and insult them. I won't speak. Jai Bangla, Jai Hind," she had said, wrapping up.

Reacting to Ghosh's Facebook post, Trinamool Congress lawmaker Sougata Roy described it as "not worthy of response".

"It is condemnable that the BJP is trying to import its divisive communal brand of politics to Bengal," Roy added.

West Bengal goes to fresh assembly elections by April and the BJP is trying to vote out the ten-year rule of Trinamool Congress.

Is BD interested in annexing some of bharat's territory?

it’s the other way around. People of Assam and West Bengal might be interested to join BD. There are number of reasons for it. First same culture and language mostly, better economy, they are treated as second class citizen by the Hindi speaks and most importantly these states are becoming Muslim majority in next few decades. Merging with Bangladesh will help them to develop further and quickly instead of remaining with India.

Interesting. Is there any interest in BD on letting those states secede India and join BD?

Well if you look at a map, the issue becomes abundantly clear. These people in the seven sisters don't have any seaport access, are landlocked, and are not well served by Indian center administration (Sanghi cow-belters) because the center is only interested in sucking these areas dry by exploiting them (oil extraction from Assam is only part of it).

The question ultimately is not secession from India by these NE Indian states, but depending more on increased imports/exports with us.

These NE areas (especially Nagaland and some of the other sister states with independent streak) are more interested in being the supplier hinterlands for Bangladesh which is industrializing rapidly.

Resources supplied to Bangladesh from NE India are mostly building items such as clinker for our cement plants, rocks and other masonry items, forestry products for our furniture, construction industry and agricultural produce as well as nuts and grain cereals.

So even if they don't leave the Indian Union (more likely of course), their future and economies are more intertwined with Bangladesh. Bangladesh manufactured FMCG products are already more popular in these areas as Bangladesh border is much closer and access to our factories is easier.

Lately India has been pushing for transit through Bangladesh so that Indians can push their products to these areas but they know that this is ultimately a fools errand because of distance and logistics, their own shippers are not interested.

Our govt. is not that eager about transit either, transit given to India is largely not in our interest, security and sovereignty wise.

Sanghis being the Kanjoos lot they are, always wanting something for nothing, can't digest the actual cost of transit. There is an internationally accepted rate for transit fees, and Sanghis want to pay like one-tenth of it.

The reason the BJP idiots are trying to take over the Bengal and Assam govts. (Assam is theirs already) is because they have this fear that these two areas will become buffer states for Bangladesh. Just paranoid Sanghi thinking.

They want to convert these two states into cow belt Hindi speaking paradise. Cow belter bihari hindus have literally invaded these two states for the last four decades (Gujju and Marathi Banya class as well) and being expert nepotists, have alienated locals by holding the choice jobs and businesses.

But I see this changing rapidly as weak-kneed local people in these states realize they are losing their own states to cow belters. The videos I posted some months ago by Garga are proof positive. Garga is also travelling to South India to collaborate with activists in those states to take back control of their states which cow belt Sanghis are trying to take over, given the sorry situation in their own BIMARU states.

Well some say Garga is anti-Bangladesh. I say I don't care. Garga doesn't have to love Bangladesh, as long as BJP does not get a foot-hold in WB, which I predict they won't - given the large Muslim population. Assam will change as well going forward because of the same reason.

The proper name of west Bengal State is Bangla. Historically, the word "Joy" was never used by the Muslims of any part of old Hindustan and Bengal. It is word used by the Hindus everywhere and that bloody BAL party started to use this for Bangladesh.

This Joy Bangla slogan is accepted by less than 30% of the BD population. So, Joy Bangla is a representative slogan for West Bengal (Bangla). Why the BAL brats are fussing on this?

Bangla is not the name of Bangladesh. So, we should all say, Bangladesh Zindabad. Joy Bangla was a slogan of the BAL guys during the 1971 war. It has no more historical reference.

What Bengali word you are talking about when the language of full of Persian, Arabic, and Urdu words. How about your very favorite AWAMI League? Is not the word Awami an Urdu word? BAL is trying to change our history-based culture. It is very heinous.

Joy Ma Kali, Joy Brindabon, Probhu tomar joy houk, Tomar mukhe JoyChandan futuk. These all are Hindu expression. By tradition we do not use the word JOY.

Bangladesh Zindabad!! Our country's name is Bangladesh and not Bangla. Bangla is the language.
