India donates a helicopter to Maldives

MALE, April 18, 2010 (Haveeru News Service) – Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has received the helicopter pledged by the Indian government Sunday morning, its website has said.

According to the website, the helicopter would be officially handed to MNDF in a special function to be held at Henveiru Park area on Wednesday.

The “Dhruv” helicopter manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) has been re-painted with Maldivian flag and a sign saying MNDF.

In a joint statement issued after Indian Defence Minister AK Anthony’s visit to Maldives in August Maldives government and Indian High Commission said India would provide a helicopter and assistance to establish a 25-bed military hospital in Male.

The assistance will improve MNDF’s search and rescue capacity, the statement read.

Cant help if your ENGLISH is so poor.

Maldives gets dhruv from India -> Maldives ko India se dhruv Mila.

Where is it said that Maldives bought or procurred or ordered from India. Or its not even said that India offered Dhruv to Maldives.

And about defence exports, ok, your defence and related expo may be far more than that of India's, But we are not discussing that here.

No need to be too much Nationalistic everywhere. if you dont like something then just buzz off rather than wasting each and every thread ( which is your second nature)

P.S.: agar upar likhe chij samajh na aaye toh bolna, translate kar dunga Hindi mein

Change the title its misguiding.

Please explain how?

Change the title to India helps Maldives too with Dhruv.

No need. Help and Favor words doesnt sound good. Remember our culture. Karam karo aur bhul jao.

a couple of weponized dhruv should also be given to them...

No need. They arent fighting anyone. They need the chopper(s) to patrol their coastline. Thats it.

ek se kya hoga
