During a joint new conference with Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad said the cooperation between the two countries will help to relieve the Muslim Ummah from being subjugated.

Solidarity between Turkey, Malaysia and Pakistan is necessary for the unity of the Islamic world, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said addressing a joint news conference with Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad on Thursday.

Mohamad echoed the statement saying, “Cooperation between Malaysia and Turkey will help to relieve the Muslim Ummah from being subjugated by others."

"If you look at the past, Turkey was the saviour of the Muslim Ummah in those days, but for reasons that few are able to understand we now have no Muslim country to stand up and protect us, but that doesn't mean that this should be forever," said Mohamad.

This is an unfair statement by Malaysia when clearly Pakistan has been the sword-arm of the Ummah for many decades now as the preeminent Muslim military power and the (as yet) only Muslim nuclear power at that.

If Jewish can reclaim their so called promised land even after 2000 years, them why can't there will a time when a nation stood up with the characteristics of Caliphate Abu Bakr and Umar.

Personally I see this no different than the streak of racism present in the Muslim world against subcontinental Muslims that is usually just below the surface, or very overt in places like the Gulf.

Even as an Indian it's not acceptable to me. I want my people to be recognised. To get their due.

not all muslim countries seems muslims of subcontinent as down to earth, but only arab speaking countries and iran look down to muslims of subcontinent. and that is when they got dollars and started being racist..

albeit it is said that during the end times it will be a non arab muslims which will have the flag of islam to carry and they will sided with Jesus Christ after finishing their job in subcontinent..

Tripartite mechanism will be established between Pakistan , Malaysia and Turkey . I hope it will have a constructive impact on our regional issues.

well for the protection of Malaysia and Indonesia my vote is yes!!! Pakistan and Turkey should be protectors of them. Pakistan is already a protector of UAE and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. who is to say Malaysia is less important. ofcourse KSA is the special one because of Hejaz but other than that why not!

They're talking about reviving our partnership, over new brotherhood law. Common , fair and strong order. They are not talking that one state must rules over others.

The Islamic cooperation organization is not working. It has no real commercial, military or political effect against states that oppress us. Then we need a new perspective.
