There are many threads flying around lamenting the current economic crisis. Amongst many other problems, the lack of transparency in Pakistan means citizens cannot understand the true nature of the problems which they face. In this thread, I will try to theorize using general macro economic theory and publicly known history, to provide some sense into Pakistan's current situation.

The root of Pakistan's current crisis starts with the traitor Musharraf who felt stabbed in the back by what he called liberal extremists. Seeing his power base eroding and sensing no support from his Western masters, he stabbed the country back with the worst he could muster. Bring back the band of thieves who had been exiled from the country due to gross corruption, forgive their past crimes against Pakistan, and leave the country to its own devices.

It should be noted that the sanctified Sharifs, Bhuttos and Zardaris had a bone to pick with Pakistan. They had experienced humiliation, and it does not take deep insight into the criminal mind to understand that they were out for vengeance. Leaving Pakistan to their mercy was like leaving a small child with a psychotic rapist. And this entire deal was sanctified under the auspices of Western masters.

Some may disagree with Western involvement in this sordid affair. But we must not forget that Pakistan's nukes are a sore spot for the entire world. Since the day Pakistan mastered the technology for nuclear weapons, plans have been afoot to bring Pakistan to its knees and force it to give up the nukes. Corrupt and selfish rulers with subservient mentality make an ideal tool to accomplish this agenda.

With 'Meesaq-e-Jamhoriat' or 'Charter for Democracy' and NRO providing the backdrop, the story continues with the 18th amendment that takes away the power of the centre, making it essentially an empty coconut - a seemingly hard exterior with nothing within. Concomitantly, the process of destroying institutions started. With political appointments to important national institutions, capability has been eroded. The effects can be witnessed with the myriad international cases whose punitive charges alone amount to billions of dollars. They can be seen in Pakistan's absence from important world forums such as FATF. Let us ask the question: why isn't Pakistan a member of FATF today and sitting in the APG to decide the case of other countries? But when government officials are more interested in their own selfish aims, how will the country progress?

It is essential for the reader to understand that destruction of state institutions and eroding the power of the centre is a very important, and extremely heinous chapter in the story of Pakistan's economic meltdown. Our arms and legs have been cut before throwing us into the water in the hopes we can't even learn to swim. And then the floodgates of murky loans were opened.

It boggles the mind how international agencies and news agencies were commending Pakistan's economic success when the foundations of economic collapse were being laid. But it makes sense when one considers the grand collusion. When the puppets were in charge, the masters had no grievances. And yet we see the puppets removed through the Panama leaks, with the chief architects being the Western darling Imran Khan, the establishment kingpin Javed Qamar Bajwa, and the Chief Justice Saqib Nisar. Somehow, somewhere the puppets irked their masters. Maybe it was their own gross incompetence that led to their demise? We cannot say for sure. What we can say, is that one regime of subservient clowns has been replaced with another regime of subservient sychophants. The 'accomplishments' of the latter can give us insights into the failings of the former: dropping the case against Aasia Bibi, fiscal discipline that puts unprecedented burden on the common people, Kartarpur Corridor, and complete divestment of material support to the Kashmir cause. No wonder the former thugs are commenting "What was haram in our time now seems to be halal".

But the Masters are benign. Offspring of the corrupt are now getting ready to take charge of the country. One of the brothers is back again in London. The one brother remaining in Pakistan is making a mockery of Justice. He goes to jail like one goes to Murree for R&R. All the while, Mr Khan keeps up appearances by shouting "No NRO".

It should be clear to the reader that nothing will change in the future. I mean Khan is a tool to perpetrate an anti-religious agenda and force painful fiscal reforms upon the people. In his mindless subservience of Western masters he is writing the final chapters of his own downfall. Once he destroys his political career through painful reforms, Bilawal Bhutto, Marium Nawaz, and Malala Yousufzai are waiting to pick up the mantle and continue the job of serving Vicarious Imperialism.

The true measure of sincerity for any ruler today is how much effort he puts into educating people. But with the appointment of Fawad Chaudhry as Minister of Science, and attempts to make a 'Super Science' out of spiritualism, Imran Khan is continuing the long tradition of keeping people intellectually subjugated. When the Khan of London is intellectually stunted, what can we expect from the Feudals of Sind and Punjab?

THe moment I read this I lost interest in your post. If your contention is true and the west is out to get the nukes. They had Musharaf under the boot. Get it done.

Or tell me are they going to fcuk around, masturbating as the years pass, toying with the idea? If they had Musharaf as a stooge why did they not get it done 15 years ago. Instead they, according to you went on a long trip involving Zardari, Nawaz abd now PMIK? And Pakistan still has the nukes.

Does this make even a shred of sense? Seriously ....

Because there is no one place from where Musharraf could invite them to come and take the nukes away. Remember the assassination attempt on Musharraf? Do you think any miscreant off the road can simply attack a dictator's convoy? Musharraf knew his limitations as well as his masters.

to be honest I was expecting "I will try to theorize using general macro economic theory...…"

Very interesting read... But...

it's the typical conspiracy theories Pakistanis like to conjure up to make sense of the failures around them.

There isn't an ounce of evidence provided nor does it add up...

This is coming from someone who also hates Musharraf, Nawaz, and Bhutto/Zardari haramis.

With lack of transparency, what proof do you expect the ordinary citizen to provide? You need to look at general trend of events and deduce from there.

Our intuitions and views are shaped by our experiences. My experiences include interactions with well connected Australians as well as someone who has worked in the Australian High Commission in Pakistan.

In order to understand Imran Khan, you should understand Aung San Suu Kyi. Read about her early life and British connections. Then compare with Khan. Then consider the British connections of Sharifs, Bhuttis, and Yousufzais.
