The drills, code-named Tharallah, started at around 8:30 a.m. local time (0400 GMT) on Thursday at Velayat Park – formerly a large military garrison – in Tehran, and as many as 50,000 members of the Basiji volunteer force from 250 battalions have participated in them.

For a paramilitary force, they are looking very good, way better than few years ago.

This is a good strategy, training thousands or millions of people with war tactics (some factions with highest levels of training), while they are not an official part of armed forces.

Imagine in hour of need, how easier it is to deploy voluntary popular troops who have been trained for months before, rather than gathering thousands of civilians and teaching them how a gun works to prepare them for battles!

While some pictures are truly impressive there are a few that are absolutely ridiculous and effect the overall image of the military drills. Over all it was good, however i wish the "strange" pictures are removed as it will improve the over all appearance.
