RAWALPINDI: Major General Asif Ghafoor Sunday assumed charge as Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
“Allah be praised! Assumed office of DG ISPR,” Maj-Gen Ghafoor tweeted, which was also shared by ISPR’s official Facebook account.
In his tweet, the new DG ISPR lauded services of his predecessor Lt-Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa.
“Thanks Lt Gen Asim Bajwa for contributions,” he wrote.
“Pakistan Armed Forces Zindabad Pakistan Paindabad,” Maj-Gen Ghafoor added.
Meanwhile, Lt-Gen Bajwa said that he proudly presented armed forces as DG ISPT for over 4 years amidst the country’s fight against terror.
“Proudly represented armed forces as DG ISPR for 4 yrs 7 months amidst our fight against terror,an eventful time.Great journey for Pak.”
He also wished his successor good luck.
“We r best nation with invincible AFs (armed forces),world recognising. Thanks all spec (especially) media 4 unwavering support. Best of luck MG Asif Ghafoor.”
