Danish shipping group Maersk Tankers on Thursday said it would cease its activities in Iran after Washington’s decision to leave the 2015 nuclear deal and reimpose sanctions against Tehran.

Maersk Tankers would honor customer agreements entered into before May 8, but then wind them down by November 4, "as required by the re-imposed US sanctions," the company told Agence France Presse.

A former subsidiary of the Danish maritime group AP Moller-Maersk, Maersk Tankers was in October 2017 sold for $1.17 billion to APMH Invest, a subsidiary of the investment A.P. Moller Holding.

The nuclear deal, reached in July 2015 between Iran and Germany, China, the US, France, Britain and Russia, called for Tehran to freeze its nuclear program in exchange for getting some international sanctions against Iran lifted.

President Donald Trump announced in early May that the US would withdraw from the agreement and reimpose sanctions against Tehran.

It is basically not sanctioning Iran but Europe. USA is making sure if US companies don't get business from Iran so do Europeans also don't get business. USA is giving more business to China and thus CPEC. Now Iran needs CPEC more than any thing.

Now..as of today's news, Europe agrees to add more clauses to the Nuclear deal with Iran, saying they want to keep it as it is and add more issues to be resolved in it..

You are missing the main point here. What if Iran becomes Nuclear? then What? Has any one thought any thing about that? If EU also moves behind USA then where is Iran going to stop? Either attack Iran in a Year or Iran will become a Nuclear power and will be twice as powerful in Middle east.

I think it would be a good thing. By going nuclear Iran would feel secure and the incessant seige mentality that country has cultivated, some justified, some not might begin to settle and lead to a more sure, responsible and business like Iran. This would be the best thing for Pakistan. What most people fail to recognize is Iran being clamped by the west since 1979 was disaster for that country but it was equally a disaster for Pakistan. We have been the seond biggest losers from the West's hatred of Iran since 1979.
