No it is not. S 300 is totally different thing with different range

No matter how strong your airforce becomes, airbases are vulnurable to strikes incapacitating the airforce. High altitude-speed sams would provide point defense against saturation attacks, drone swarm attacks(keeping your airfoce occupied with area defense and attack against high value enemy targets instead of focusing entirely on airbase protection) and high speed cruise missile(ie. brahmos) attacks. Medium range ballistic missile point defense is possible with these sams as well. Since Pakistan is very close to India the minimum range of ballistic missiles would limit to medium range ballistic missiles. HQ9 high altitude + HQ 16 medium-low altitude would solve the point defense needs of Pakistan.

Ofcourse putting all eggs in one basket would result in 1967 type of airbase losses. So secret locations, highway strips should be prepared in case of emergency and mobile sams can be carried those places for point defense as well.

If these are also supplied to BD than rest assured India would have gain access to these systems comprising their ability against India Vis-a-vis Pakistan.

Pakistan should be vary of obtaining military hardware that BD also procures from China.

6000 meters altitude is normal for small range sam so can't be 6000 meters ...

and altitude is 18000 meters


6000 meters altitude is normal for small range sam so can't be 6000 meters ...

Are u sure? I think spec are nearly same as ly-60 but more reliable than that. PN will be inducting it soon

SPADA 2000 is a defence system for fixed installation ... it can't be moveable
and
HQ16 is almost double range than spada 2000

Are u sure? I think spec are nearly same as ly-60 but more reliable than that. PN will be inducting it soon

HQ16 (LY 80 ) is better than Ly60 in terms of spec ... LY60 based on aspide is small SAM system that give range of 18 km slant and normal 13 km
while HQ16 is medium range and gives a range of 42 km for fighter jets and 12 km for cruise missile

Dear who said doue range spada and this chindse air defence are medium range difference will be not more than 30 to 40 k we need high altitude airdefence system like THAAD or S 300 or even better than S 300 now in few years pak fa will be inducted in iaf do u think these medium range can even detect them

AFAIK it's range is nearly same. But with better accuracy. I'l check again tmw. Actually PN is buying it so I know

PN will rely on PAF for air protection. They should have long range high altitude protection for ships and unluckily HQ9 cannot be put on small frigs! !
