What's new

Lt. General Faiz Hameed posted as commander Bahawalpur Corps

.
...and the posting has to be political by all means on PDF here

Thanks to the ones actually discussing formations and commands related to posting.

Bahawalpur is not sensitive, this is a news for me...
Sensitive is not regarding to conventional operations, but rather it refers to being critical to state's internal security and having a political role. Thus 10,11, 12 and V corps are considered to be more sensitive.

That is what I meant, that while it is important for conventional ops, it doesn't have much impact on our internal security or politics like for example X corps has.

Fazl ur Rahman desperately trying his best to revert the FATA status, him and Achakzai backing KPK demand because their politics are dying after the merger. Plus, the recent lethal attack on PTI MPA is another alarming situation. Only PTI is the biggest democratic party in KPK , if falls then say goodbye to KPK. Falz ur Rahman tries to have a permanent grip in the province. Which neither US nor Pak Army will tolerate.
People should remember the story of Hasba Bill when JUIF came into power in KPK.

Fazlur Rehman is a big fish, his father was also a big timer, they know how to protect their interests and the interests of their masters. Fazlur Rehman has the backing from big missionary organisation aswell as his own Jamaat and 20,000 Maddrassas. He is well connected in Afghanistan so he will stay relevant due to this. FATA merger hurt his politics definitely.

I’ve seen their new base. Rather I got stopped by them as I was driving by. By the looks of the perimeter it’s probably massive.

Bahawalpur is home to the strike corpse

Heading a strike corpse is not small thing.

Maybe make a training armored formation like an under strength armored division to be fully strength during war time making a strike corps.

Maybe,
it's a pivotal position, and it can morph into a lot of things,
