The Defense Department said that Lockheed Martin Corp. has gotten a $7.3 million modification to a previous contract to support upgrades to the P-3C aircraft operated by Pakistan's navy.
The P-3 Orion is an anti-submarine aircraft made by Lockheed. The contract includes labor, hangar costs, and an upgrade to the plane's acoustic receiver for work on seven aircraft.
Most of the work will be done in Greenville, S.C., and is expected to be finished by November 2011.
The contract announced on Thursday went to a Lockheed unit in Eagan, Minn.
